What You Are Is Enough

I remember a time I’d watch a live concert. I’d hear the awesome rendition of hit songs, taste the relish of the crowd, bear witness to the sheer spectacle and in the midst of it all would be the artist, looking so radiant, so full of life and all this would leave me in a state of depression as in contrast, my life felt utterly empty, soulless and set in grey.

Perhaps you have felt the same in some form?

Perhaps another person’s expression has left you feeling utterly horrid?

The beauty of that person that made you want to hide yourself?

The sheer brilliance of him and her that left you wondering where you were when gifts were being passed?

That person’s success that only reminds you of perceived emptiness and leaves you cursing your days?

Perhaps you have felt the same way?

Why all this?

What did we see that triggered these?

We saw a separation. We saw a beauty that was outside of us. A glory that had nothing to do with us and a radiance that we could only dream about. A gap that we could never cross. A heaven beyond our reach.

And why is this?

Is it not because we do not see that separation is a lie?!

Is it not because we do not see that beauty, glory, life has no box, transcends every form and finds fullest expression in each and every man including you and I?!

Is it not because we do not perceive that the presence of another is not our absence ?!

Is it not because of these that we see every man not as an inspiration but as a reminder of perceived emptiness and failure?!

Is not this the reason for hate, envy, obsession, idolizing others?!

Is it not all because we do not see that we all are unique expressions of the same Light, the same Beauty, the same Radiance?!

That we are ALL the image and likeness of Love and Glory?!

The form, the appearance of things does not define us. You, me, we are the same Light, the same Beauty, the same Radiance, the same Glory in unique expression

Be the best that you are

What you are is enough
